Student agrees to pay said "Total of Payments", in monthly installments of $ beginning and all subsequent installments on the same day of each consecutive month until paid in  full.  I agree to pay a one-time service charge of 10% to cover administration office expense for processing this contract. This agreement, when signed by a Honolulu University Representative and  the Student, becomes a legal document specifying payment arrangements.

Unlike most countries, in the United States, there is no national procedure for licensing or accreditation of universities and colleges.  Accreditation is voluntary and is not recognized as being within the parameters of the functions of the U.S. Department of Education.  Because Honolulu University is a 100% distant learning school, regional accreditation is not available. However, the U.S. Department of Education is currently addressing accreditation for the 100% distant education schools. We have assured them that when available, Honolulu University will hopefully be among the first to apply for accreditation.

NOTE:  Students who withdraw from Honolulu University must request withdrawal, in writing, to the Registrar's Office by Registered Mail. Postmark on the envelope determines date of cancellation. The refund percentage is based on total tuition for the degree program, not the amount paid.

HONOLULU UNIVERSITY IS NOT ACCREDITED BY AN ACCREDITING AGENCY RECOGNIZED BY THE UNITED STATES SECRETARY OF EDUCATION.

Honolulu University is also a member of the International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE); ICDE, officially recognized by the United Nations as global NGO and is affiliated with the United Nations through UNESCO.

Note: In the United States, many licensing authorities require accredited degrees as the basis for eligibility for licensing. In some cases, accredited colleges may not accept for transfer courses and degrees completed at unaccredited colleges, and some employers may require an accredited degree as a basis for eligibility for employment.
