COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course examines the role of money and financial instruments on the functioning of a modern economy. It studies the role of banks and the policy role of the central bank, The Federal Reserve, in managing the nation's money supply. It looks at the roles of financial intermediaries in providing capital for markets and the operations of the major stock markets (NYSE and NASDAQ) and overseas banks and stock markets on the international level.

COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study. 

COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
