COURSE DESCRIPTION
PSY 511 is designed to provide supervised internship experience in counseling for qualified graduate students.
COURSE EXPECTATIONS AND EVALUATION
Students will read each text assigned. And write a summary review of each.
PROJECT
Students will enter into a practicum of not less than 200 hours which will include face to face individual and possibly group and family counseling, under the supervision of a licensed practicing professional. Supervisor validation and evaluations must be sent to the student advisor before credit will be assigned. An evaluation form will be provided by the university.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
