COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is the culmination of the graduate degree, showing the skills and depth of knowledge necessary conduct original research or create a professional review and evaluation of research.
PSY 699 should be started as soon as the student and advisor have agreed upon the thesis/dissertation topic. The project will follow APA guidelinesand include, as a minimum:
· Proposal reason for study/project.
· Review of professional literature on the topic
· Purpose of research and plan to complete research
· Research
· Statistical evaluation
· Summary
· Bibliography
Each stage must be approved by the dissertation committee before the student may go on to the next stage/chapter.
COURSE EXPECTATIONS AND EVALUATION - PROJECT
The dissertation committee will review, evaluate, and comment on each stage. When the project is complete and all members of the committee approve, credit will be given.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
