COURSE
DESCRIPTION
This course presents an in-depth analysis of World Theater giving students knowledge of the historical patterns of drama as an art form and social function.
GOALS
This is a required course for the MA degree program in Theater Arts. The students explore all elements of the Theater from its earliest time to the present.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon course completion, students will be able to:

Visit the Theater or Movie, student must effectively analyze the production.

Explain differences between ancient and modern theater.

Write and present a ‘one-hour’ lesson on World Theater.

Show the social value of the Theater.
COURSE PREREQUISITE: A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for admission to this course of study.
COURSE DELIVERY: This course shall be delivered completely through online interaction via the Internet or other acceptable distance learning medium(s). Due to this being a non-traditional program, traditional classroom residency is not required. Therefore, you are expected to independently read and analyze the subject matter with me performing the roles of an advisor and mentor.
